Jackie's Auntie May used to accompany her father Albert King on business appointments when he worked with the Ballet Russes.Over the years, a friendship had formed between the two. This was sent in 1930, the year after Diagilev died. Albert would have been arranging a new contract for Dame Alicia Markova with a new ballet company.
it reads;
'Dear May, You cannot imagine how surprised we were to see your father. I am looking forward to the new contract very much. I hope to see you when I am in London. With best love, your Alicia Markova'
